Because you're at the age they're desperate to hook you in, but their qabyaalad gets the better of them at the same time. I remember it was the same scenario with me a few years back...a guy would call me ilkoyar or God knows what else and the next day there would be rose and heart emojis and the Somali flag with a long message....bi-polar ka sii daran - they were less than strangers to me.
