these are the main issues facing onlf:
1: christian super power states...you cant ignore that ethiopia is a muslim majority country ruled by minority christains. western countries are not only ignoring all the abuse done by the tplf regime but they are also backing them up with weapons and aid. Tplf argues that east africa will become safe heaven for islamic militants if ethiopia collapse.
2:somalis...ONLF gets more hatred from somalis than other ethnic groups. you have states handing onlf fighters to ethiopia. we also have some groups who get weapons from ethiopia to fight with onlf inside somalia ( want to know more look into itahad/ xasan turky struggle in jubooyinka)
3: dabaqoodhis..abdi iley is one crazy MF..he killed more ogadens than ever tigrey or amhara did. he is also influencing more pple to abandon the struggle for liberation. ina iley is showing some roads and little develpments telling the pple we are doing progress
4: Lack of foriegn support...ONLf gets no support from neighbouring countries except maybe eriteria but it is too difficult to bring weapons from eritria to Ogadenia/western somalia
Solutions:
A)Onlf needs to infiltrate the fake maamul in jigjiga and addis ababa...we have to hold highest generals, offices or postions in that adminstration, this will enable to swiftly take over the state in case ethiopia collapses. they will also act as inside men.
B) play big role in jubaland adminstration and somalia gov too..ensure that ethiopian meddling in somali poltics is minimal or hindered..a strong somalia is our safest bet to liberation and ethiopia knows that.
C) invite all other non OGs residing in that region to find a solution to their grievance towards Onlf.
in short, to achieve our liberation struggle we need to have unity among our people in the region, economic and armament support. for the time being we have to educate our people and ready to bounce and grab if the chance to liberation presents itself.
Ps i believe if ethiopia collapses now..some somalis will still favor to live under ajnabi than another somali..remember when males died how many somalis were wailing that ethiopia will get stronger
