You can't respect a murderer or praise his life, one who has shed so many innocent muslims lives should not be spoken of at all.

Many southerners show empathy towards him because he was a southerner that's all, so that doesn't mean you have to join the bandwagon.

The south praises warlords and war criminals don't be like them, because to them killing people and extortion is a normal thing and the warlords and war criminals are their heroes.

Barre does not deserve respect, he destroyed Somali dreams

Everyone is entitled to their opinions guys. I am only saying Barre did somethings right and other things were sabotaged by tribal entities within the regime. He shouldn't have allowed them to hijack it but I still know he was far better than reer AMISOM.

Barre appreciated the minds and contributions of Isaac leaders. His brightest days were when he had Isaac PM and Isaac foreign minister (strong foreign policy).

Here he is in Macca with those two Isaacs (PM, Mohamed Haji Ibrahim Egal) and Foreign Minister Omar Arteh Ghalib.

It was Isaac that deposed Barre and today it is another Isaac showing respect for the things he did right including keeping Wahabists at bay, Bantus respecting Somali society, the bar ama baro literature campaign, the many anti-drought initiatives, his Eritrean-TPLF policy, etc.



Some things have yield fruits and many of you can write Somali today. If he slept like AMISOM camp, then maybe you would be writing Swahili. Hutu mooryaan ruled Xamar longer than Barre and have not achieved 1/10 of what he had done in 5 years.

So let's move on and ask ourselves what have current ones done and what do we expect the future from? No need to forever dwell about Barre.

I'm fair to everyone and I will not focus all my energy on the negatives. If I wish to know or learn something then I have to know the full picture while my head and heart are free any pre-assumptions or pre-determined views.

I give Barre his positives and he had lots of negatives. But being Isaac does not mean you naturally hate the man. That's not what we are about, I believe anyways.

It was said Siad Barre (AUN) cursed Somalia before he died for their ungratefulness, that curse still looms over us today.

USC,SNM,SSDF,SPM must ask forgiveness or this curse shall never be lifted.

Many dictators build they country in the beginning, but destroy it in a tragic way in the end; therefore, always their negatives will outweigh their positives, no matter which way you see it.
