Re: Somaliland-South Sudan Scenario
When your name is SAHAN , by definition you cannot be confined . I am not an isolationist in politics although very lonesome as an individual

Re: Somaliland-South Sudan Scenario
Sahan I'm glad you don't run jsl we would all be dead. I think only place that suits you is working for bisha cas because you sound more like a humanitarian.

Re: Somaliland-South Sudan Scenario
Sahan & Yusuuf from what I have seen are the most forward thinking S/landers on this board, its very unfortunate you don't share there thought or foresight infact you are the biggest cretin toll that delights in the suffering of others, your a sick individualGubanOgoJSL wrote:Sahan I'm glad you don't run jsl we would all be dead. The group that went to Mogadishu forum were smart, the best thing S/land has done in decades, they asked for 50/50 split, if I was HSM I would have accepted it based on today's circumstances and dangers, we would both gain massively, it will take the kabalax jaberti stooges, her charcoal kingping and her sympathizers out of politics forever, with Rahanweyne, Hawiye, Dir and all the other minorities that always side with us would make up total of 40% of our 50% of the deal.SahanGalbeed wrote:I agree with smooth in a sense . I love my tribe as much as anybody else does his own , but i also love the somali people . We could have had many opportunities in which we could have off set the aspirations of outside forces by getting "in the game"
It's a game changer, but instead you have allowed Jaberti free reign, they are claiming sool/sanaag, they recently threatened you in the media regarding disputed areas for oil exploration, they are the ones when it came to Somalia/Somaliland talks their PM purposely brought a pro somalia isaaq, dhulloz, Gaderbise to the table knowing full well that the Somaliland officials would refuse talks with them, it happened and talks collapsed as a result just as they wanted it to, then came the talks about air traffic & Tax again the guys leading the talks were Jaberti appointed by PM, talks again collapsed as they wanted it to, another jaberti tried to get your life stock export funds from Carabta transferred to him as he is the minister that deals with it, he failed but not without antagonizing you lot, how about the awtuble guy infamous speech at the consulate meeting in front off diplomats a month ago, lambasting Somaliland when contact group bought it up, saying less then 50% of the people support your dream
They have freed themselves from your dependence with government AID money to finally finish their 10 year airport project, if there airport in bosaaso is a success you will be loosing heavy $$$$ as they currently all go through hargaisa to visit their barren lands, if you continue in this self induced slumber you'll soon wake up with nothing to bargain with anymore, in the eyes of IC your no different from Puntland
These are the kind of low intensity warfare they have always been playing against you using government as cover ONLY because you choose to be absent, instead of supporting the DIR representation covertly that have equal 61 MP share, you curse them, threaten them instead of working with them, you guys have failed massively politically, you have the strongest hand in the game but choose to be absent.

I hear what you are saying. But Somalia cannot offer anything good to Somaliland. If Somaliland was to join Somalia they would be worse off in my bookssmooth wrote:Sahan & Yusuuf from what I have seen are the most forward thinking S/landers on this board, its very unfortunate you don't share there thought or foresight infact you are the biggest cretin toll that delights in the suffering of others, your a sick individualGubanOgoJSL wrote:Sahan I'm glad you don't run jsl we would all be dead. Walaahi sii fiican smooth , anigu I am not anti daarood laakiin , I am pro "wiil iyo abtigiis " somali confederation.
Re: Somaliland-South Sudan Scenario
For starters you'll come out of isolation and into the international world, your free to sign major deals with countries which you can't now, there is so much that I don't even want to dwell on it, but lets assume it does not benefit you, what's next? tell me? No recognition, can't sign major deals with countries, can't get any significant aid, can't get a loan from the world bank for major projects, no national currency that's recognised, these are all things that newly created states can claim but you can't if you insist upon this isolationist dream.Togdeer wrote:I hear what you are saying. So what do you think will happen in the next few years? assuming your correct and that Somalia laughably offers you nothing and you stay in isolationism, with all the above states getting significant funding with new deal soon they begin to be on par or surpass you which is inevitable, the question will reverse "what do you offer" ? in Politics you play your hand when its strong, not when its weak and useless, today your hand is still strong ( but not as strong as before), so you play it and don't gamble with it.

Most of them know deep down, that no Ictiraaf is coming.
So this is just more of the same.

Every few years we get couple of disgruntled Qaldaans that go crazy about Ictiraaf and after a while later, they just give up and move on to something else.
Never fails.
Never fails.
