Deporting Somalis to Amxaaro is never a good decisionAwRastaale wrote:That is very good point Mr Geeljire.Geeljire252 wrote: This is not celebrated in any other state like Jubaland which Ogaden live in too.
But I understand that there is cabsi laga qabo Itoobiya laakin shouldn't we be xor in our own land. Why do we need to celebrate it in Puntland or Somaliland?
There are two main reasons for that and that's not to say it won't happen in the near future.
First of all we all know Isaac and MJ position towards the issue of Ogaden, which dates back to the Sayyid Abdulle Hassan days.
These two regions always ensured ONLF and their supporters never gained any support, cell or comfort zones in their lands. They either deported them and other actions.
So in such these regions always attracted the 'pro Ethiopia' refugees but who won't really pro but more integrated than ONLF elements. These individuals did not fit into ONLF nor were they safe in Ethiopia. Those were the ones who made their way to SL and PL.
The deep south such as Jubba regions were always sympathetic to ONLF and so if any of these semi-integrated and hybrid (Oromo inter-married) made their way south, ONLF and their supporters would have dealt with them.
On top of that that area is more influenced by Kenya and their satellite NFD agents than Ethiopia and the Jigjiga elements.
In such Jubbaland is more Kenyan project than Addis Ababa but I believe Ethiopia is already working to steal it from Nairobi. In the next three years we should see Kismayo marking Ginbot 20 bigger than Axum, Adwa and Adigrat combined.
The Ethiopians have not marked such date apart from the Tigrai minority and their agents.
You can search the net and won't find anything.
inshallah this will not spread to Jubaland or any other Somali area. And inshallah Puntland and Somaliland will stop celebrating this. It is wrong on so many levels. It is like Somalis celebrating Christmas
We need to look beyond reer hebel and bribes. 20th Ginbot is not a Somali celebration it hasn't benefited us in any way. We were free before Ginbot and after. For example Djibouti doesn't celebrate 20th Ginbot but also has trade with Ethiopia. Trade iyo inaan isku dhiibno Ethiopia iskuma xirna.
Also there are no oromos in Jubaland the only non Somalis there are Baajun and Bantu who lived there for decades.
