Guys, u know there is a weapon embargo on somaliland/somalia , we just cant buy standard weapon or even smuggle them, last time we attempted that the israeli arm dealer was caught and sentenced to prison in the usa , it is as not clear to whom the shiment was but mostly to SL so our ppl have to improvise especially against terrorist groups, u know the army with thw heavy stuff cant operate inside the city.

Manufacturing light/medium armaments is not difficult. We can easily achieve self-sufficiency in producing mortars, small arms, heavy machine guns, trucks and even artillery, the problem is our people do not have the right 'can-do' mentality.

Manufacturing..!!, thats way over ambitious, u know that some dreams can kill u, how on earth with a national budget of only 300 Mil $ can we manufacture welfare arms..!!, forget about having a huge electrical power supply ,raw material and QUALIFIED engineers that wont blow us instead...!!
good thought though but still too early for us, we better off improvising and assembling our own stuff to suit our current needs, after all I believe SL have the upper hand on any Somali armed group put together and that will suffice for now.

Countries can still "donate" arms to you despite UN embargo.

kkkk psychology, its a stupid chinese cabriolet crap made shit car, soomalis always go for the cheapest crap, the whole video is an embarassament
It's easy to complain, all so called elite forces use their fancy gadgets for psychological tactics, it does not mean they are too dangerous than other forces. This is French elite policeman, this guy you see here is responsible to protect French politicians and other potential terrorist targets.. Image

look at their vehicles it's phuking Citroën , one of Europe's most useless cars. They are not using some flying cars. Our RRU lancruisers and their James vehicles are not less effective than those French ones. It's all about perception. Give a man AK and macawis the enemies won't hide from him. Give a man an elite uniform with a PISTOL , the enemies will fear the moment they see him coming towards them. Can you believe the RRU are less than 200 men yet they the most feared police unit In Somaliland. Even if the regular police do some news worthy operation , every one thinks the RRU did it.

:mindblown:

This is what I mean by "arms donations".

No, I wasn't referring to Amisom.

:troll:
UAE donates military equipment & armored vehicles to Somalia's Jubaland admin in Kismayo to help fight AlShabaab
In late May the Interim Jubba Administration of Somalia received RG-31 armoured personnel carriers and Toyota Land Cruisers donated by the United Arab Emirates. They were handed over to President Ahmed Mohamed Madobe, who received the vehicles in the southern port town of Kismayo, which is also the capital of the administration.

The newly delivered RG31s and Toyotas will be utilised by the Interim Jubba Administration police.
Bintland has been abusing this "donation" loophole for years all in the name of "anti piracy". I'm surprised Qaldaans aren't doing the same.

In case you didn't know these are real military vehicles not convertibles mounted with cheap guns.

Arms= Troops only in hutu city, u r a unique case in this modern world, a failed state with no ARMY, who would ''Donate'' arms to blood thirsty militia to kill themselves, so in ur case arms, implicitly means a sugar daddy aka Amison TROOPS...

besides, who in his sane mind would use a term like ''DONATION'' in warfare hardware...lool, do u think this is like the food aid they used to air dropped to ur ilks .. :-@ .

again, u r a unique case in this world, the IC is fed up of ur paper made kind of government, and tired to remedy all kind of human society failures ur lawless city have infected upon the whole world ,so they set up a government and they PROTECTING IT.

this military assistance is given to weak and fragile regions in the SFG so they can help themselves against al kabab and pirates, ALhmadullilah in republic of Somaliland our army is capable of doing its duty, the real fight is against those suicide bombers like it happened back in 2007/08, that is why this kind of small and fast maneuvering cars are needed.

Trust me no one respects weapons embargo and even if they did there are loopholes big enough for both of us to walk through; if you have the capital, there are more sellers than buyers

If You have the money there are many

who said to you they are incompetent, have you seen criminals getting away with murder, robbery rape or smuggling large quantities of illegal drugs, or untaxed goods in Somaliland ? Out of All Somaliland government departments the army especially the police department are the only ones deserve their credit. They protect you or your family ass and you are making fun of their vehicles. This is the Mexican elite police force one of the most dangerous countries for police, yet they are using the same pick up trucks of our police .
