Somaliland is selling itself a day late and a dollar short with this UAE deal.
And involving itself in the quagmire of the Saudi war on Yemen is pretty disgusting and serves no value to Hargeisa.
Hutu Walaweyn rhetoric.
Your people have sold everything from innocent women, to fishing rights, to the maritime boundary, turned Zoomalias waters into a dumping ground for toxic and nuclear waste.
We can't take a moral position even though it's in our nature, especially when we're dealing with an immoral enemy (Zoomalia).

I suspect the rise of attacks may be qaabil driven. I don't trust hawiyes and Isaaq. They got too much cuqdad. If the current government in Xamar fails. We got no choice but to build a strong jubbaland state and be independent.
Better half a cake than chaos.
I agree if hawiye cant respect a darod president why share anything with them? They had 3 hawiye president in a row we didnt caalcal then so they should respect farmajo and let him finish his terms, if they cant do that then we should go our separate ways, every man for his own, puntland and jubbaland should become one nation , somaliland their nation and hawiye can keep blowing themself in the south for all we care
Wallahi im starting to realise that the best for all somalis are if we go our separate ways, we are to different. Imagine if puntland and somaliland where their own nations, we could have 4 different somali nations, we could make a defence, ecomonic pact, similary to the arab League, a.e the somali league, we would rule the horn
Xamar are holding us up to much...
so ogaden becomes a country, nfd becomes a country, djibouti another country, somaliland becomes a country, puntland becomes a country, jubbaland becomes country and whatever's left becomes another country.
Each one of these "countries" will eventually be absorbed into ethiopia and kenya, you're a fool if you think disunity brings power. 22 arab countries with a population of 366 million was defeated by 1 jewish country with a population of 8 million. And you're talking about 7 countries for an ethnicity that doesn't exceed 15 million, with the same culture, same religion, and is one of the poorest in the world against united central governments that have populations nearing 100 million?
I agree i take that back, but if the south cant get their shit together why shouldnt the stabil regions just move on? Why should we just let the south hold us back from reaching our true potential?

When one warlord was getting too strong, Ethiopia would back another warlord to even out the power. This way the war never ends and one side doesn't overpower the other. When the ICU overwhelmed all the warlords and finally brought peace, they invaded. This is not natural. The reason why the South has been in conflict for a 1/4 of a decade is because of external factors. We cannot blame them for something they are not responsible for.

I keep hearing that it's a bad deal..it's a bad deal. But they never tell you why it's a bad deal. I think that the vagueness is purposeful because they actually don't have an argument against it. It's just that sheer impulsiveness to be against anything Somaliland does.
SL invlolved in a quagmire? I guess they are in good company.

Since when was ogaden and nfd part of somalia? wouldn't it be better if they become their own country?

theoretically speaking of course, they are currently under ethiopia and kenya respectively.

It's a bad deal because SL loses more sovereignty
You get only a couple million which isn't going to transform any roads or bridges
Better to call Ankara and get real troops on the ground and away from a disasterous war led by the disgusting House of Saud

Somaliland doesn't have any sovereignty because of geopolitics despite our historical legitimacy as the first Somali country to gain independence and now when we have joined the dirty game of geopolitics in order to gain something, our main enemy is telling us to abstain from the military deal
Ankara? The same Ankara that's playing a part in destablizing the only anti imperialist country in the ME besides Iran? What's the difference between Ankara and Riyad?
Why would we call the Turks who sided with Ugandishu instead of being a neutral mediator?
You wish that the paper government in Ugandishu would gain the upper hand in the conflict with Somaliland but it won't happen and when the war comes we will destroy Zoomalia and her Bantu boyfriends.
