Nigga do you know who bantus are :wtf:

And even if that's true what's bad about that? I'm pretty proud tbh we are the same population as amhara (25M) but conquered 4x more land dayum we are excellent :stylin: :dj:
Yes brother you're right, i forgot about them.
My bad. But i was referring to east africa, or the horn in particular. Do bantus in the horn of Africa inhabit more land than the Somali?
And i very much doubt there's 25 million Somalis, please show me how that is.
Nothing wrong with your land mass, but if a conqueror complains about being conquered, is it not ironic?
We were conquered by 3 European powers, our land divided in 5, and the Amxaara, Tigre & Oromo Coalition attacked us, and later were rewarded with our land & ppl, Kenya got a whole region of ours. How are we. Complaining I know we didn't live there sometime ago, but we are also from the Horn.

We are about 18 to 20 million.
My clan the Maccaa, which is about 14 million strong today, submitted peacefully to Menelik because his army had like 80,000-100,000 rifles while we had like 50. The Oromo are as brave as anyone in the world but come on now. In exchange for some autonomy, we joined his empire, and just had to pay a yearly tribute of gold, cattle, etc.
So personally my clan couldn't help you brothers.
And to be fair, when the army of Menelik entered ogadenia, some Somali clans allied with him. Same thing happened to the Oromo. The Wollo, Shoans, northern Oromo for the most part, allied with menelik, and together with the Shewan Amhara, they were unstoppable. They conquered all the land Ethiopia has today.

Imagine if all the Oromo, Afar, Harari & Somali had a Peace Agreement & an Alliance The Cushite Confedaracy. We could get Weapons from the Ottomons, and no European or Amxaara/Tigre could stand in our way or attack us. I wonder why our ancestors didn't even unite just the Somali or Just the Oromo. They let us down.

the closest we got to cushitic unity was under Imam Ahmed Gurey. His army had oromos, especially the eastern oromo clans who border the somalis, afars, habesha muslims, etc.
perhaps Allah is punishing us for uniting based on tribalism and nationalism, instead of his deen, what do u think?

The Ethiopian empire is not a natural state, it only exists today because the europeans needed them for colonalism so they allowed them to buy as many guns as they want whilst blocked the same opportunity for everyone else, then when it was dismantled by the Italians it was restored by the british who then gave ogaden and eritrea to ethiopia. Today it only survives because they receive massive military funding from the international community. When the interests of the world diverges and they don't need them anymore, it will collapse and become a bloodbath.

What should have happened is that the british should not have restored the ethiopian empire after the italians colonized it.

Somalia + harar would have formed one country because 100 % muslim
Eritrea forms another country because historically independent
Galla-Sidamo forms another country
and amara, scioa forms another country.

You're right, and even now, the USA is predicting Ethiopia will collapse by 2030 bro. Even they know, that the current situation in the ethio empire is not sustainable. it's bound to erupt like a volcano.
half of ethiopia's budget comes from aid too, so ur right, without the western aid $$, ethiopia would be in trouble indeed.
the british were convinced by the begging of haile selassie the coward, plus, when italy first invaded, england is where he lived in exile.
the horn of africa is a very strategic, and mostly Muslim area; so of course, they will need all the christian/non muslim, allies they can get.

Some people would say Oromo is more powerful than amara today. Which makes you the second most powerful group after tigrey and their dogs. You already are the largest ethnic group, the capital is in your land. Fuck else you need. You guys must be brain dead.

Good question. There are things the Amhara are better at, and things the Oromo are better at.

1. Amharas, due to historical domination, has more educated people (especially in the diaspora) than any group in Ethiopia. But Oromos are catching up quick.

2. Today, Oromos are more politically organized/united than Amharas. Historically, there was no ''amhara nationalism,'' because they hid behind ''Ethiopian nationalism.'' Amhara nationalism is still growing, because historically, they related/identified more with their specific province (Gojjam, Shoa, Gondar, Wollo, etc) than they did with Amhara as a whole.

3. Politically, honestly, I'd say the Oromos, I could be biased, but Amharas are not as organized as the Oromos, nor do they have many or any allies in the region. Plus the TPLF itself has identified the Oromos as their single-biggest threat (to their power) and not the Amhara.

Interesting. One more question. What's your opinion of Mr Jawar Mohammad? Is he the spiritual leader of the modern Oromo nationalism?

I respect him but don't like to exaggerate praising anyone. Secondly, the father of modern Oromo nationalism is probably waqo gutu who died in 2007, the man's a legend. the Oromo heroes who died in Oromia and led the struggle (shaykha jara abba gadaa, qasim usman aka nadhi gamada, jal falmataa, ahmed hundee taqi, umar bakkalcha, etc) are the ones who deserves the most praise, respect, etc, to me....

Maybe he's more of media guy. His name usually came up in interviews during the recent Oromo protest.

Jawar has his own little hidden agenda. He is an ethiopianist. Prior to becoming popular amongst Oromos, he hated and wanted anything to do with us. Today you see the majority of his supporters are Arsi because if he's from the Arsi providence, but from the dhumuga clan(brother of arsi).

Waachis, you and I both know Oromos are far from being politically organized or united. The Arsi clan itself is responsible for that when they all left Abo about 10 years ago. Yesterday they were michirama, then ginbot 7, now Kwo. Pollitically, regionally, religiously and every way you can think Oromos are going backwards here in the west. Luckily the backward lifestyle Oromos have here is a lot different then they do back home. They are a little more united, but face it. Oromos from Arsi hate Oromos from hararhge; and vide versa. The Muslims a lot of the time do not get into politics when they are into the deen, same as the Christians. It's the youth that are the bad the uprising.

we have groups that want to stay part of Ethiopia, those that don't, others that don't know that they want. A lot of the older generation do not agree or think the way the younger generation does, so there is a lot of disagreement within parties, causing a small fraction to be created from it.

Oromos need to push away pride to region, clan and such to achieve success. That's where Amharas are better politically. At the end of the day, they think about Ethiopia, we don't all agree on what we want.
