the oromia regional state are trying to take more land that is close to buurta kaalamardha which is a checkpoint before going in to the city of Jigjiga.

Babile is the border between us and there are three pure somali cities that is in the middle between jigjiga and babile which is part of the somali kilil and the majority being somali residents, we even live further than babile all the way to dire dawa and beyond.

Oromia state are trying to take those three cities and add them into oromia by killing somali residents,
the oromia state is making a major mistake and will result in dire dawa coming back into our hands.

Oromia already won 80 percent of the disputed territory in the 2004 referendum, legally, what reason do we have to steal lands that we won?
Unless Somali got greedy and wants to take the criminal, illegal route?

We WERE experts in land grabbing and EARNED the largest territory that a single ethnic group could posses in Africa.The British described us nimble and warlike and for sure ,we would have dislodged many many ethnic groups if it wasnt the intervention of the European colonialists. Similarly ,Our Oromo cousins rapidly expanded in the 17th century and almost dominated all Ethiopian ethnic groups. That's a tale of the past. Both of our communities were skillful land grabbers back then though we were second to none .By the way ,land expansion was noble and justifiable centuries ago but in the world of 2017 it is silly and barbaric beyond measure.


I strongly urge both communities to respect the current borders and should peacefully share the disputed border towns.
