We can all make multiple theories depending on our biases, as an adamant anti-sade you draw those conclusions. From my perspective I can say prior to Ahmed Gurey declaring Jihad we had peace with the Habesha for several generations except for few clashes, well the names of Xirabu's ancestors could have been second names given to them by the Ethiopian emperor as well as land and titles. We know prior to Ahmed Gurey the muslims were under Habesha control.X.Playa wrote: Mon Apr 23, 2018 1:50 pm He was most likely a slave of a Christian by the name of Theodoros. There is no other way to explain a Somali with a Christian name . the other explanation is he was a recent convert.
The Daarood can't wiggle out of straight logic unless they begin to troll and run around in digression.
But without any biases, I see nothing wrong with the name, it is indicates an interesting story behind the man, which is why he has become the most talked about man from Adal era which we discuss on Snet, more than Nur ibn Mujahid and more than Ahmed Gurey. I see nothing wrong with that, but your hypocrisy is that you claim he was a recent revert to Islam and use it as an insult when you are not even muslim yourself, you want to defame a Mujahid ?
