before the europeans got involved, the oromo were kings and queens on their land, and administered themselves via the gadaa system.
so we were free for 450 years, if not wayyy longer, then due to internal divisions, same ones u somalis have, and european allying with the habeshas, we lost our freedom.
there have been oromo uprisings every decade, but they were isolated, and not coordinated, now, it's different, every oromo stood up as one.
