I agree with you partly and the ignorance of never ending Somali fueds but at times there is ahiden hand fueling it and Hargeysa regime is not blameles remember in Sanaag they had this conflict but it was always sorted locally but this time it keeps reignitingoriginal dervish wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 5:20 pm Sxb.....be honest with yourself.
This tribal feuding has been going on before Bixi, during Bixi and will probably still be going on long after Bixi is put in the ground.
This is the Somali savage nature.....the medieval mentality and explains why this nation is among the worst places on Earth.

After the contested elections there is no doubt that this local conflict has become politicized.
Never underestimate Somali politicians capacity to exploit their peoples grievances for political gain.
One thing the govt could have done was to increase the police forces in Ceelafweyne and implement a mechanism to resolve conflict before it spirals out of control.
If the police were seen as neutral and proactive they could have rounded up up the hot heads and anybody inciting violence.
Govt intervention at this stage is seen as too little too late.
PS I'm Still of the opinion that the locals are the ones who should accept most of the blame....how can you kill your neighbours and relatives every few months...it's maddness.

You need some strong policing of the area.....individuals not clans should be targeted.

Im from erigavo, the curfew wouldnt of solved nothing. The only solution is for Musa biixi to came ro ceel afweyn and hold a big gatherimg to show he's sincere and replace ina kahin from his position. Otherwise you will have all this qaabil buying hub and doing tic for tat.Khalid Ali wrote: Thu Jul 11, 2019 4:29 am We can do.2 things the next clan that breaks the oath in ciidanka qaranka cagta mariso. All this curfew will just make the anti goverment status go further.
