A lot of us Oromo nationalists are suspicious about the true intentions of this party; but 2 positive things so far are 1) it's inclusive of traditionally marginalized groups i.e. somalis, afars, hararis and those from gambella.
2) it eradicates tplfs presence and isolates and weakens then even more.

Like it or not... If you want to win elections fair anf square you need to have a national appeal not just an appeal to your ethnicity... This is what PM Abiy sees as his key to winning. I see him ruling for at least another decade, for better or worse. But I also forsee the OLF led by Dawud winning a lot of seats. We shall see. The alternatives are worse, civil unrest, oromo revolution 2.0 and etc.

Lol you're silly to say the least, if you think that a civil war in Ethiopia would magically not negatively effect Somalis.
And if you think the air and ground forces wouldn't attack those supply lines or try to; you're even more silly.
It's best if Somalis united themselves first not as ogaden or issa but as somalis and then they can be a formidable force and side with whomever in Ethiopia has similar interests.

According to Ethiopian statistical agency, HA/Sacad Muse can be argued to make the largest group in Faafan region by a clear margin, the most populous region in DDS. 98K from Harshin, 110k from Qabribayah distict, 115k from Awbare, around 30k from Jigjiga distict and 5k from Gursum. Around 360k in total. When you add that to other Isaaqs in Faafan such as Bursuk Arabs in Babuli district which has close to 100k people, and other Isaaqs in Jigjiga, then there is no argument that Isaaq make the largest group in that region by a big margin.

100 percent of the 93,000 Harshin woreda; 60 percent of 192,000 Qabribayah plus the largest and most populous town Harti sheikh. 30 percent of the 393,000 of Awbare, plus again the largest town Tog Wajaale. 10 percent of Jigjiga's 322,000, and 5 percent of Gursum's 32,000 people. Do the maths sxb.

Mean while your Dollo/Wardheer region has a total of only 350,000 people shared by Ogaden/Makhahil, Harti/dhulos/mj, HY, HG, and Marexaan.
