Even though taiwan is a lost cause, getting a little bit of aid from them wouldnt be too bad.
We must remember hat we are insignifigant to China, they are interested in Ethiopia and Kenya etc, we are small fry like those pacific and carribean island states that support taiwan.

Why be all uncle tom and all that?
Why so negative towards the chinese? do you love your western masters so much?

I admit that on the surface the chinese are not as attractive as the west, its because they have no interest in sweet talking and messing with your minds brainwashing you into loving them.
I can see you are still in the grip of stockholm syndrome and love the west , the colonizer the source of most of the misfortune of the continent and the world.

Chinese are practically devoid of your sense of morality they have a different kind, they would have no issues doing horrible unthinkable crimes on the world if they can get away with it, but because its the most efficient way they offer africa and the third world a better deal than you could get from the west.

To simplify the west set up a financial system that is structured to suck as much resources out using loans and "privatisation", they just sit back and receieve all that with little to no work.
Africa on the whole sends to the west upto 3 times as much as is received from exports and aid.

To compete china comes to you with a fair win-win deal that you would be a fool to refuse.

They dont do it because its nice they do it because its efficient.
remember the Chinese on average have a different morality to you and would be capable of horrific things ,
but then again the Elite in the west that have been running it and the world for centuries are as amoral as the chinese population,

We are all used to rule by an amoral elite capable of anything, why would dealing with the Chinese be any different?

Chinese companies can invest our country and bring all kings of their products. Taiwan has everything that china can offer. We are not afraid of the fking communists . They can't do a shit to us .
Why go all the way to Taiwan for business, education or health? The distance is too far. Their education is in Mandarin (3000-6000 characters). Apart from a few elites (Biixi & inner circle) who can afford, at least 95% of reer Waqooyis cannot afford (minimum £1000) to travel by plane, let alone for business, education or health. Not cost effective.

Gurey firstly I'm not saying that the west is best or anything like it, I am not in awe of the west and your criticism is valid

However we cannot ignore the threat China poses to Africa and the wider world as well the evils the CCP dictatorship has committed such as their violations against Muslims in Xinjiang

Morally speaking, the contrast between dealing with Taiwan as opposed to China is just like night and day. Don't drop your principles for the sake of profit

You have to respect the view of Michael Heseltane former foreign minster UK who handed over Honkong to China he says you have to remember China is an emerging superpower, in other words Boris must be care full messing with China with all their investments in the UK

I Am not ignoring the threat of
China I want a return to balance.
I want the coldwar back I want to west balanced by China so that they return to respecting the sovereignty of the third world .

It might have been traumatic for those living here n the west but the coldwar was our golden age, practically most of our infrastructure and industrial development happened then, because the west was trying to seduce us from communism.
Both sides played nice with weaker countries.
Unless they were in their sphere of influence like eastern Europe for the Soviets and Latin America for the Americans.

President Farmaajo doesn't need to do anything. The region is suffering from a host of environmental (droughts, heat, floods, water stress*, invading locusts, etc) issues, and any pressure would affect the already struggling locals, not the regime.

farmaajo is already talking to the chinise embassy in somalia, china just needs to back somalia militarily and financially. this was ahige blunder by musa biixi

Nomand, the arms embargo against both Somaliland and Somalia will not be removed by the UN until amongst other things there is a final agreement on the relationship between Somaliland and Somalia. This is good for us as we currently have a bigger and stronger army than you guys.

That's what I call checkmate
