You'd be hard pressed to find a single Somali, much less a family of Somalis, in Amhara region -- fact! And, here we are, morons advocating for the integration of the peoples. Just because you don't border them (yet), as they are coming whether you like it or not, Indian Ocean is their main goal, doesn't mean you should welcome them. They discriminate against Somalis going to their region. There were some college grads from Dire Dhaba and Jijiga who went there for work -- all returned less than a year due to discrimination and threat of bodily harm.

Btw, during Haile Selaisse's time, the area in and around DD was called ( Amharic term escapes me atm) Isse and Gurgura territory. Isse has sizable population within the city. We've become mayors, etc.

Nevertheless, we are facing ethnic groups hell bent in taking over Somali territories, however, there are no other Somali clans coming to the aid. Every day we are facing triple threat, Habashi, habashi federal troops and Odacali but we are still standing as a clan. Nacala idinku wada tal Soomaliyee caloolshood la ciyaarka. Somalinimo is a mirage :pacspit:

It is new phenomena, but on the other side there are two Somali girls (one is women minister) are campaigning in Addis Ababa. The Girl in question, brought up in Jigjiga, speaks fluent Somali, and is a teacher. Anyway it is the start of long-term Xabasha policy of domination rather than integration.

What do you make of the Kenya model of devolution (semi federalism) whereby no county is based on/ named after any ethnic group?

Good, let Amxaaro take over them it is a great punishment for the crimes in Kismayo. As long as my lands in Galaadi are untouchdd I can give two shits about Jigjiga.

Big break, It seems that you're outdated. Currently The region is called DDS (dawlad degaanka Soomaalida). If you're insuniating ONLF they're political party now, so what are you on about?

I wasn't talking about Ethiopia, DDS or ONLF Zidane. I was only focusing solely on Kenya's domestic situation. The reason I asked my question is because I'd like to know if you would accept Kenya being the model a country like Ethiopia should follow. Somalis in Kenya including Ogaden are thriving in my opinion

Bigbreak, sorry for misunderstanding. You're right Somalis in Kenya are more free and transparent than those in Ethiopia. At least they can elect their reps freely unlike Ethiopia where they're being selected. That shows you the different between the two. I am not talking about somalia (before certain groups agiatate) whenever Kenya is mentioned
