Do you think we are stupid , Taiwan is financing the project and genel is a company operating in Kurdistan, so they already have the experience of how to deal with an irrelevant paper based government. And their prospective wells are located in the heart of habarjeclo territories , an area with less human population and empty coastline. I have no doubt that project Will be implemented . And this letter Will only accelerate the process. Because we will immediately inform the peaple that the enemies won't like them to prosper.MrSinister wrote: Wed Dec 28, 2022 3:03 pmHe can’t enforce anything by force. Hsm is looking for his cut of the deal and I suspect this company will give it to him if they are serious about drilling in Somaliland.

That’s not how things work. Genel energy is a public traded company out of the UK. They will follow international laws. They will not risk their reputation.theyuusuf143 wrote: Wed Dec 28, 2022 3:16 pmDo you think we are stupid , Taiwan is financing the project and genel is a company operating in Kurdistan, so they already have the experience of how to deal with an irrelevant paper based government. Even in Iraq, I guarantee you they are not operating in Kurdistan without the consent of the Iraqi government (even if behind the scenes).
Like OD said, the options are either they withdraw or some agreement is reached behind the scenes with FGS and Somaliland.
That’s why I believe both PL and SL need to stop relying on foreign investments and encourage and invest in local companies. With foreign companies, your are always at their mercy.

International law doesn't apply to somaliland when it comes to this kind of situation where the so called government doesn't exist. And the so called rebels are the actual democratic government of the land. We took the democracy religion just to meet the demands of the West. As long as we fulfill their demands Mogadishu is irrelevant.

Khalid...........you can lie to yourself but not us.
A few years ago the entire Hajj exports of livestock from Berbera was frozen on the say so of Xamar.
The sl business community and population were in total shock.
It wasn't until the Ciidagale Deputy Prime minister intervened that sl livestock exports resumed.
I have my suspicions that money was paid to facilitate the deal.
So if Mogadishu can bring your poxy livestock industry to its knees, what do you think they can do to your oil deals?

od is rite
i can't believe ustad yusuf n khalid think there gonna be different result from the same action. we bin ignoring the ex italian colony for too long. they claimed us. the occupy east badhan. no doubt they would invade us if they could
from day 1. somaliland shoulda had a say in what happens in the ex italian colony. sponsor fake somaliland representatives in their federal government
b***h a** weak a** somaliland leaders. doing nothing. just waiting for ic to force the ex italian colony's signature for our de facto divorce
f**k that. we need to do something. next time there is a bosaao war, we sponsor the friendlier side. if gurgurre goes to war wit governor laftagaren, we ask who wants to publicly make concessions to somaliland. basic politica even governor deni was sponsoring ahlu sunna against farmajo. smh..our weak leadership. just gonna sit n wait until al shabab or the sna enter somaliland

Od ur talking about the arabs. Arabs hate somaliland more then walanweyns do. And what happend in the end if somaliland doesnt send its livestock to arabia its a loss to them they need it where will they get that amout of meat in that short of time
They cant stop. Genel and the tawainese oil company sharad baynu dhiganayna haye the worse case secnario is if culusow and co sue the company and the company pays a fine
They dont have any sovregnty over somaliland sovreighny yes one part if legitimacy and the other part is to to enforce ur legitimacy in the said claimed territory.
For exapmle the west back is part of occupied palestenian territory but in reality it comes under the judicial sovreignty of israel because they can enforce law there at will build settlement,
The bunker cant enforce sovreignthy no enforce its law in any part of somaliland it can make claims but thats where it ends
Thats why the dp world director told the walanweyns we are signing the deal in berbera come to berbera of ur the govt that is the owner of berbera
