There won't be a war. Things will unfold two ways

1) fartaag captures buaale. Madoobe and his gang will flee kismaayo. They don't have the strength to face both reer kismaayo and fartaags army. As the moment buaale is captured the situation within kismaayo changes.

Remember kismaayo is between 40 to 55 percent marehan. Ogadeen are between 5 to 10 percent. The rest of kismaayo probably hates ogadeen more then mx.

2) buaale is a ruse and they camp in goobweyn. Madoobe will flee and whoever is left will negotiate their surrender.

Either way I don't see a direct war.

I wouldn't put it past Fartaag to even purposely engineer a showdown with Madoobe even if Madoobe surrendered.

The fact that Madoobe was even with the optics to be able to "name" him Senator annoys Fartaag. He wants to publicly dethrone and humiliate even subjugate Madoobe as a point of pride especially to look at back at Mareexaan to say "What now, I was a puppet for this thing here you guys said? I was s puppet? For this?" so that Mareexaan then responds affirming him "No you certainly were not, we were so wrong,!"

That's Fartaag from someone who knows his clan and its actors very, very well.
