Yes few Daarood villages in the most eastern parts of Sanaag by the borders are controlled tribally by so called Puntland (Xingalool, Badhan, Dhahar, Laas Qori) but the entire region of Sanaag almost 80% of it including the capital of Sanaag Ceerigaabo and its mayor Ismaaciil Xaaji Nuur and Cabdi Hure the governer fucntio with in the frame of Somaliland, and thats fact not some fortune tellings.

As far as Laas Caanood , the somaliland governments control most of Sool and its influence extend to the gate of the village just 30km off. Parts of Xudun , all of Ceynaba , only Taleex is another border region with puntland is in the hand of few dervish wannabes.

Fact is Puntland is part of somalia with a population less then Hargaysa's elementary school children, time will eventually humble their self inflated Daarood image, time will force the few Daarood extremist into its logic either they will have to move to the south or stay within somaliland as a respected minority Somalilanders.

Arab, am aware of geographical location of those cities. The Issue with the south is the warlords and the ill-informed qabiil driven few citizens who supports them but the Issue in the north(both SOmaliand and Puntland) is that same Warlords are there but this time they are wearing suits and immitating democracy and at the same time are not much different from the south. Both Puntland and SOmaliland are guilty of that respectively.
but I am not here to accuse any one of anything but rather have the men and the women with the morals come and discuss this issue before we let polician lead the people to another useless war.

B-Max,it is true that charity begins at home and the south is showing some hope now, the only city that needs massive cleaning is Mogadishu and the warlord are now being forced to accept some responsibility and many organizations such as the civil society and the NDI are working hard to end the situation we are now seeing some hope atleast but we can't have another long draging to open on the north once the south is resolved thats why I want us to get a head start know what to expect.
