rer mudug is dad yo dhaqankood. it doesnt mean one who lives in "mudug" region of today that siyad barre chipped galgadud off of. historically it ment dad dhaqan yo daaq wadaag ah like rer waqoyi is from awdal to sool/sanaag becuz of their dhaqan yo daaq wadaag n rer benaadir is from south hiraan to shabelle dhexe cuz of their similar dhaqan yo daaq wadaag rer maay who r raxaweyn who live in any southern state from bay to shabelle hoose to jubbas cuz of their similar dhaqan yo daaq wadaag.
