You must know that scholars who interpret hadeeths and the qu'ran never agree on on certain things that is why a hadeeth may have many interpretations, therefore you can not say that islam is black and white. well there are some aspects that is but not all thats all i'm saying.

But i do agree having an opinion that conflicts with islam is wrong, that is why we have many corrupt countries passing themselves off as an islamic state.
DD....All the sects you listed are offshoots of Shi'ism which deviated from Islam long time ago. They are all heretics. We are talking about mainstream sunni Islam.
Who cares, they're sects nonetheless. Who I'm sure consider YOUR sect as heretic.

Face reality, there is NO one Islam. The fact there are so many muslims who practice Islam differently proves that. There is no substance behind your arguement.

Xyaad...That;s not true. They don't disagree on the jist of the hadeeth but rather which Madhab to follow. The Prophet (scw) did many thing differently because of circumstances and also because of time..

There are things that open to interpretations but other things are very clear! Like, can scholars argue on how many times to pray? NO! But whether smoking is halaal, makruuh or haraam...

Sandheer,

What is your opinion about this verse in the Quran refering to women and hijab?

Surah Al Ahzaab:

33. And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform As-Salât (IqamâtasSalât), and give Zakât and obey Allâh and His Messenger. Allâh wishes only to remove ArRijs (evil deeds and sins, etc.) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet SAW), and to purify you with a thorough purification.

islam encourages asking questions and seekings knowledge, Censoring anyone who wishes to do so is pretty lame. lionheart, you and i agree on many things but not this one, you're crossing the line, if anyone questions certain things about islam, answer them. don't acuse them of being anti-islam.

The Screw...Brother this is not an issue of asking questions. Believe me, no1 asks more than questiosn than me. Lacagey, my opinion:

1. "And stay in your houses" - do not engage in things that are unlawful i.e going clubbing or engaging in things that could lead you into zinah
2. Perform Salat
3. Pay Zakah
4. Keep clean - i.e not just physically but also spiritually and mentally

Living in gaalo society has alot more effect on women than men.
Sandheer is unsupervised vulnerable girl let loose in the kufr jungle.
Bro. Lionheart, walahi I understand your irritation with her but be easy on her for the sake of Allah.

LacageeyLacag....Thanks sister. She seems so ignorant yet arrogant and satisfied with her "opinion."

That's a bad combination.

Lacagey, ---"Do not display your selves like the times of ignorance." - do not go walking around naked.

I also heard you are not supposed to wear something that gets you attention. During the prophets time(pbuh) the women used to wear anklets and he said that was wrong because it received the attention of others. If you think about it people hardly used to wear much, so covering yourself is covering yourself. It doesn't mean, cover your head and wear tight jeans or cover all yourself to the extent of not being able to do anything for yourself. There is no compulsion in religion. What you do is what is righteous in good intention and hope Allah accepts it.

Lion, why would I do that? I’m not DD!! Get real… Rolling Eyes
