The ignorant person is one who denies that Mohammed (54 years of age at the time) lured into bed and had sex with a nine year old. But one can understand why you may want to gloss over that fact.

Not too many people (including you I imagine) would be happy about the world finding out that the man whom they're supposed to adore, and whose deeds they're supposed to emulate was in actual fact somewhat of a pedophile.

The hadith:

" Narrated 'Aisha:
that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death). "

(Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, No. 64)

I'm not an atheist, and in all honesty I don't particularly like the arrogant folks (they believe they're superior to their agnostic cousins), nor have I said anything regarding the prophet that isn't true and well documented.

I've also no intention of insulting Islam or smearing the prophet; it's just that I have a problem with 54 year old men having sex with nine year olds.

I think it's wrong, and rather repulsive- don't you?
