While I agree with you, what I am trying to do here is gauge what the consensus is. Where do the majority of muslims fall on the issue. How large is the differential between the two camps?

You wont find any big gaps in Snet. Try other sites. Specially Islamic forums like Islamonline.net's discussion forums. And for change visit Shia Muslim forums too... you would see a huge gap between Muslims.

I assume that everyone shares your sentiment. I am going to assume that even the most radical members of this forum will not say that children and innocent should be targeted.

i have noticed that the majority of israelis that hizbollah has killed have been soldiers in comparisson to israel who directly target civillians. but what i am talking about are incidents like 7/7. now that was just wrong.

Hizbollah nor Hamas ever did anything outside their lands. Those are only Islamic Orginazations I support even for them isn't right to target innocent people and they should do their best to avoid civilians.
Zionists or Americans aren't our role models to do whatever wrong they are doing. But this is war and of course innocent people will cought in between. You and I nothing we can do about it.

Happy, you are wearing colored visors again. Whether Israel is deliberately targetting civilians is problematic. But that the Katyushas are is beyond debate. Yes, Israel has lost of fair amount of soldiers in direct combat, as Hizbollah likely has. But Hizbollah most certainly is deliberately targetting Israeli civilians.

Not true. Bear in mind that Hizbollah don't have advanced equepment to direct shoot their enemy...They are just throwing it. Of course war is a terror and of course Hizbollah are fighting fair battle here. We wont shed any tears for Israelian civilian because we have 100 times more civilian victims than them.

The rockets are area weapons being fired at Israeli cities. If that is not targeting civilians, I don't know what is.

no what are you talking about? what is happening is so obvious i would assume that even you would see.
first of all hizbollah has the right to defend itself and when israel attacks civilians and kills numerous children, it is only logical that hizbollah would inturn fire rockets, now the question is where those rockets landed. as a result most people would hope that those rockets kill as many people as possible so as to avenge the death of the innocent lives but what is a FACT is that other than the few israeli civilians who have died (which i am not apologising for not because i like to see people die but because no israeli cares about the dying kids) most have been soldiers. like yesterday, when hizbollah fired a rocket, they targeted soldiers and that is what is expected during a war.
there are rules to be followed even in war and these are clear. any muslim fighting is required to follow these and you would not expect hizbollah to attack a school or a un base sheltering hundreds of civilians as israel has been known to do.
history is repeating itself

Look, I am not arguing who is the good guy or not. But the fact is Hizbollah is deliberately targeting civilians. Now you can argue it is justified or not, that's fine. But let's not pretend they are not targeting civilians when obviously they are.
The Israeli position is somewhat different, but I think the results are the same. It's just that the ISraelis have much more werewithal, hence achieving more effect.
"there are rules to be followed even in war and these are clear. any muslim fighting is required to follow these and you would not expect hizbollah to attack a school or a un base sheltering hundreds of civilians as israel has been known to do. "
Hizbollah is hiding its militia in urban areas amongst the civilian population. It's doing so for good reason, but make no mistake, the deliberate targeting of civilians and the hiding in civilian areas are both violations of the laws of land warfare. Hizbollah is also an illegal, non-uniformed militia.
