How Mr Keendiid with only 200 men half of them arab mercenaries took Hobyo is what i want to know.
because this was small village and of now importance at all-and the italians gave them guns, which was scarce resource at the time. remember somalis used fight with spears and waran? but where did mr. kenadid end up? this garhxajis dude told me the brits sent one of their garxhajis cavalries, they captured him and deported him to some island outside somalia-as kenadid was considered wild man. but this could be rumours.
but the striking question i want to know is why didn't the Ajuraan state in central Somalia made the attempt to get him for themeslves.
Baller you are cofused.
The wasengeli sultan was the one exiled to seychelles.
Guns were a scare resource but this was 1870, allot of clans had guns, maybe the hawiye didnt?
and FYI the ajuraan Sultanate was brought down by a Mudulood coup somethime in the late 1600's.

Ok ashlee granted taking Hobyo would be easy if you have guns and its just a a small dock with a few mud huts.
But how did he extend authority inland? Was there a Full scale MJ invasion
southwards? becuase Keendiid and his 100 men couldnt have done anything but hold onto the Hobyo.
