Even when they ruled parts of SOMALIA?
Lionheart it was called All of Somalia. When abdirasheed ali sharmarkee (May all have mercy on his soul) was assasinated. Egal the isaaq PM was looking for a Majerteen to fill the void. The idiot coulda ruled somalia but was looking for its natural holder
Gurey
It was only 70 people. How he did it? They had weaponry far superior then any hutu javelin

Afweyne never ruled somaliland....if he did, he wouldn't feel threatened by SNM and see the need to attack..
How Mr Keendiid with only 200 men half of them arab mercenaries took Hobyo is what i want to know.
because this was small village and of now importance at all-and the italians gave them guns, which was scarce resource at the time. remember somalis used fight with spears and waran? but where did mr. kenadid end up? this garhxajis dude told me the brits sent one of their garxhajis cavalries, they captured him and deported him to some island outside somalia-as kenadid was considered wild man. but this could be rumours.
but the striking question i want to know is why didn't the Ajuraan state in central Somalia made the attempt to get him for themeslves.

When did afweyne become MJ?
Second ofcourse afweyne ruled the country.
"if he did, he wouldn't feel threatened by SNM and see the need to attack."
Who wouldn't feel threatened by a rebel group in their country who's main aim is to oust you?

Thats good and all that you can't refute what I am saying. Okay but why are the idoors dominated by the darood?
Why did Eeydoors feel threatened to create there own country? Because they couldn't control SOMALIA? Atleast not in a 10000 years

Your a confused hutu. The only darood suldaan sent into exile is the Warsangeli Suldaan Shire. Who was whipping the idoor. Nobody else youngin

Ashlee---saying something doesn't make it so. Iidoors were never dominated by any1, specially dooros.

I think in the future we should utilize MJs strengths to the advantage of the Somali people. In addition to the faan, their extreme ambition proved it could turn into a deadly mercenary. Hereby, I propose to make them in charge of Tourism I think they'll be great at selling an image as opposed to running a country.

Baller you are cofused.
The wasengeli sultan was the one exiled to seychelles.
Guns were a scare resource but this was 1870, allot of clans had guns, maybe the hawiye didnt?
and FYI the ajuraan Sultanate was brought down by a Mudulood coup somethime in the late 1600's.
====================================
Ok ashlee granted taking Hobyo would be easy if you have guns and its just a a small dock with a few mud huts.
But how did he extend authority inland? Was there a Full scale MJ invasion
southwards? becuase Keendiid and his 100 men couldnt have done anything but hold onto the Hobyo.

Kenadiid got more people from the closer regions i.e north mudug (Mj's, Omar mohmoud and other Mj groups) Maxamed Shabeel was na cumar mohmoud who took tributes and taxes from the people (he was kenadiids right hand man and he was cumar mohmoud) and he had omar samatar his left hand man a swiaqroon from bari

His forces grew by the thousands. Hobyo was no tuulo. It was bigger then galkacyo which by estimate sakes was in the thousands by then so IMAGINE HOBYO THE CAPITAL OF CENTRAL SOMALIA?

asshlee-stop the fallacy lil gurl. hobyo is and was always a little village of no more than 500 saleban fishers. even though it was a little village the mj could not still have complete control. back then the capitol of central somalia was jowhar.
And also mj lost so many of its force that by the time kenaadid was deported to some faraway island-no more then hand full of his men were left- and they too fled or died of malaria.
but as demure commented-mj is best left to the buranbur and fanka.
