Cabdiwahab
The guy is alive and well in Columbus, albeit aged. Another victim of your Mooryaan ethnic cleansing.
He lives with his 5th wife, a reer Jalaf beauty who gave him many bright and lovely kids. Caydiid relative, I believe.
Immensely knowledgeable about Somali culture and folklore, an engaging raconteur and wit and a conjuror of rare talent. The David Blaine of Somalia.

Don't blame Hawiye for your ass not going back to Xamar, if you want to go back there then go.
Mooryaans were not the only ones who did ethnic cleansing and definitely weren't the first ones start ethnic cleansing in Somalia.
although it was a bit barbaric in Xamar there is only one person to blame for this mess.

I have no wish or desire to go to xamar. The city is not the charming one I used grew up in. It is a hovel of wadaad extremists, unsightly women in huge drab garments that cover everything, it is dirty and unsafe.
And all the people with class left.
and it is one thing for the Hawiye to ethnically cleanse me. But this old gent was sympathetic to their cause, was related to them by marriage ties, opposed to Siyaad Barre and boom his life was put in danger and his belongings looted.
Doesnt make sense. But then ignorant people usually dont make sense.

Xoogsade,
yeah he is. I learned a lot from him in my meetings with him in Huriwaa back in Somalia. One day I will make the trip to Columbus to renew my acquaintance with him.
I love talking to the older guys specially the ones who were political insiders or know a lot about Somali culture and history.

Like I said before Hawiye are not the only ones who committed ethnic cleansing, at least they did not bomb Somalis with white Rhodesian pilots.
We all had to leave xamar some of us earlier than others, nobodies hands are clean when it came to the destruction of Somalia and Xamar too.

Samatar,
Cabdilaahi Qarshe used to sing it
Xuseen Aw Faarax the Midgaan composer and playwright is the author of those words
I listened to Xuseen Aw Faarax biography and old interviews when he died about 6 or 7 years ago. And he was commenting on that song and the circumstances of its birth.

Siyaad Barre government did that. A Somali government. Remember Siyaad's Minister of Justice was a HY guy who said that SNM defectors' wives were automatically divorced from them.
And your uncle Ismaaciil Axmed was The Warden of All his Jails.
Besides you guys were asking for it. Your rebel Army invaded the city. What was the government supposed to do? Look what the Americans did to Falluja. If rebels hide within civilian population then it is a free fire zone.
