Saxiib 3 refers to the something like the Jalabib that hangs over the body, You cant see the shape of the legs and rest of the body. But on your picture u clearly can, No difference between trousers and what she is wearing...
Its so clear
Wearing trousers is that allowed??? My aint exactly...

Our advice is that women should not wear trousers because this is the dress of kaafir women, so they should not wear them. A woman should only wear womenÂ’s clothes, the dress of her own country; she should not deviate from that. She should strive to wear concealing and modest clothes which are not tight or see-through, but which cover her and do not show the shape of the body, and which do not resemble the clothes of the kuffaar or of men, or a dress of fame and vanity.
its easy to say women should not wear trousers, but we are not talking about wearing it in public. obviously this is sport competition between women so the rule above doesnt aply in this case. i aint no scholar but thats my honnest opinion.
the cloth is not see-through. its not tight to her body so in the spirit of of sport competition amongs women i personaly dont see anything wrong with it.
byt like i said, this is just my opinion.

You can't run a marathon wearing tons of clothing. And any Muslim woman who competes in most olympic events does so wearing the clothing that is normal to that event. Do you see Muslim female distannce runners wearing anything other than shorts? No. Why? Because they wouldn't be able to compete.
The Saudis field no female teams. Why? Because they don't think women should be allowed to participate in international competetion. Simple.
If the Islamists take over Somalia, I guarantee you Somali women will not be allowed to compete in any international competetion.

well any sport which requiere a muslimah to wear a short is not for msulim women. so they'll oinly have concontrate on those sports that they can compete as muslims without compromising their modesty or faith.
so if it means not taking part in such sport like long distance cos they have to wear short, then they wont take part. big deal!

Some sports lend themselves to extra clothing - some do not. None of the running sports do. Fact is, lots of clothing adds weight and drag - which slows you down. No amount of rationalizing can change that. Physics you know.
And if the UIC, which is threatening to behead people for failing to pray, seizes actual power and establishes a government in Somalia, I can guarantee you, Somali women will not be allowed to compete.
Biko
Not a big deal for you. You're not a woman who wants to compete. For women who want to compete, it's a big deal.

i'm aware of physics behind it. but the difference in speed is really not that big . we could google up some numbers but from what i'm aware it's not. but at the end of the day it's up to the girl to decide if that factor is even significant to her at all.

Uic can't do anything to Somali women who already outside of somalia. as for ones somalis in somalia, IF the people are unhappy with the UIC it's up to them to change things.

What should Muslim women wear in Olympic swimming competetion?
How about cross country running?
Sprints?
Easy to say "You shouldn't wear that" but a little tougher when you want to allow your women to be competetive.[/quote]
there are alternatives and ways to modify things if it's needed . we could make a long list of each sport and examine each, but thats just tedious.

My point exactly.

Muslim women constitute somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 of all women on earth. What percentage of women are olympic medalists? My bet is, it's a lot less than 1/4.

of course it's a lot less
1. aren't the olympics somethings brought up by the euopeans? You'll generally find more europeans or western countries more involved.
2.besides when comparing women sports and men, whether it's muslim or not generally .people invest more on the men sports
3.etc
these are some reasons why the percentage of muslim women involed is small. probably more that i haven't mentioned.
just give it some time .you never know. maybe there be more involvement in the future.
