Very informative Gedo_Boy.

Orson Scott Card is a very persuasive writer. I have a soft spot for people who try to advance over-arching civilizational models from the minutiae of everyday existence.

He used to be great at science fiction, before the success of Ender's Game got to his head and he got bogged down in that universe.

The problem right now is we are talking past each other.

What concerns the world is the extreme Islamists ideology which basically says Muslims must attack non-Muslims until they accept Muslim rule and pay Jizya. When that ideology is defeated, and Muslims stop trying to blame all of their problems that they are responsible for on everyone else, the fight will be over and Muslims can handle their internal affairs as they see fit. But right now, we are deeply invovled in your internal affairs because you have proven unable to clean house on your own and it is constantly threatening our well being.
