Re: Abdullahi Yusuf Tries to Speak English! Funny!
I can name five things abdulahi yusuf had done since his presidency to the office....His successfull and smooth move to bring the gov from nairobi to somalia...His savvy and smart move to get rid off warlords, especially those who thought were powerfull enough to wreck hovac on his gov..
The creation a force within a force in a city sleepless with cronies thirst for innocent blood shed. For an example i command his use of the concept, killing 2 birds at one stone;maxkamad and warlords...He only not succeeded to topple off his opposing opponents but had actually used em against eachother to only reign supreme over them all after their tiredly battles...
Another one is his carefull yet calculated step to bring the badly needed western attention back into the ever forgoten country of ours...You know what that means, after the math of what happened with maxkamad, west is now willing more than ever to spend hard earn tax money of their citizens to fund his/our government...Let us take advantage if we're smart and rebuild our country..
New passport..
And last but not least, a gov recognized through out the world to rep our country for the first time since siyaad barre... I hope this is more than enough acheavment considering of what he had to deal with and where...

Abwaan:
Don't bore me with a long & vague description of Abdullahi's character. I asked you, name 5 things his government have done for Somalia/Somalis since Mbagathi...
Somalis have always had an ear for politics and everyone in Somalia knows just who Abdullahi is, regardless of your rosy claims that he fought to free Somalia. Freed Somalia from what? Where was Abdullahi when Somalia was fighting the Ethiopians? I remember very well where he was. He was spearheading a campaign of treachery against the Somali people with his constant broadcasts on Radio Kulmis telling the people "Do not fight the Ethiopians, they are your friends, turn your weapons on Af-weyne." He was a traitor even back then, when Somalia needed him, he abandoned his people for his own personal gains by running to Somalia's mortal enemy.
I dare you to discredit anything I've written...
Karkaar:
So, you are saying all Abdullahi was able to do was wage wars? What has he actually done to aid the Somali people? During his days in Baydhabo, what social policies has he implemented to aid the sick, poor & starving people all around him? Has he built hospitals, schools, social awareness programs? What has he done for the thousands affected by the ferocious floods of last year? Has he even visited these areas devastated by these floods? Has he allocated any funds to help these people?

I am just trying to understand the psyche of these guys that vehemently support Abdullahi & his government, if it is out of clan lineage, they should come & say "I support him because he is my clansmen." But to hide behind a farce and ridiculous claims that Abdullahi is a hero/warrior and a patriot, that is just a joke.

The TFG needs to get their shyt together & start acting like a government, Somalis don't need men who spend their nights in lavish hotels & hold press conferences on a daily basis. Hadii kale meeshi dowladii Barre baa u dambeyni....

He was better than I thought considering his educational background or lack of. After 16 yrs that is all Somalia can produce to lead them into the 21 century. That is so sad.
Why wouldn’t they just let him speak Somali and translate the document?

They should distribute a hard copy of the speech in English and let him speak Somali. What is the point, no one understands him any way so why not keep the poor guy's dignity in order and have him speak Somali with an attitude. Better yet have some one else read the speech on his behalf.
I bet you he insisted in doing it.
