The problem with secession discussions is that people can't have it in a respectful mannerIn 1961, there was a referendum on the UNion and a province in the South, Hiiraan, had the most number of votes AGAINST the union. The reality is that there were Southerners opposed to the Union in greater numbers than those votes from the Northwest

The most antiseccessionists I meet are from Wuuqoyi primarily Awdal and Sool, and Sanaag. I tell the most hardcore Somalilanders, don't convince me, I am a Southerner, convince your Wuuqoyi people first.
Btw, the best example of a partition is Czechoslovakia which broke up in a peaceful and respectful manner.
However, at the end of the day, I believe all Somalis are interconnected and suffer from the same problems. Its just whether you want a bastard from Xamar or Hargeisa to make you miserable

I'm shocked to hear Hiiraan wanted to seceed, do you know why is that?
Anyway I have the patience to wait for somalia to get it's act together, only then can we discuss secession respectfully. As for your comment about the anti Somalilanders from awdal and sool and sanaag, first of all dhulbahante do not want SL and warsangeli the vast majority are not interested in it but the gadabursi are divided because on one hand they don't mind SL, but on the other hand they still hold Somaliweyn dream in their minds, you could say the same for some Isaaqs aswell including me, but now I fully support SL. Insha'allah somalia gets peace and worry about that for now, worrying about somaliland won't help our country get together.

On a serious note the case for succession gets greater the longer the chaos continues in xammer. So for those against succession in the south my advice would be to combat it you must offer an alternative, its stupid for you to tell somebody not to leave if all you have to offer is misery and chaos.
My personal opinion is that succession is outside our hands, the south or the north is not able to make separation a reality. They only way that will happen is when Somaliland being independent benefits the west, when that day comes we will be bystanders. Until then whats best for everyone is for the south to get its act together and offer those people who dont want to separate a semblance of normality, with a bit of peace. Otherwise everytime you scream anti-somaliland comments you will sound like a munafaaq, with a hidden agenda..
