I didnt say but i call it barkad too and as you said barkad is a man made place that holds water, i just dont get waxa ee nimankaan ku qoslayaan! thats why i want to know what they call a swimming pool :|

I don't get what is wrong with what the lady said. technically there is no term for swimming poor in somali, the closest thing is barkad.

There was a picture of a barkad in front of a house, it even had baca that you put under so the water doesn't sink. She comes in and is like "masha'allah they even have swimming pools in somalia" :lol:

Marka how are we alike? and why would there be a barkad in front of a home? they are usually in tuuloyin/baadiyo :?
