Ogadenku wa the biggest hypocrites in the world. They want to take a whole portion full of other somalis name it after themselves chase a self determination dream without consulting any of the other tribes, and then they aggravate the occupiers and then cry wolf about a genocide. But what really takes the biscuit is they assume they have the moral high ground to pass judgment on somalilands case...The_Patriot wrote:I wouldnt care as long as Dhulbahante, Warsangeli, Gadabursi & Issa sing the petition.Cumar-Labasuul wrote:This is a serious question directed at the sane members on this website, I want to know what are your opinions on secession in particular somaliland? I know that the vast majority are against it but I would like to know the reasons. Look at Somalia we have been in war for two decades now and the main reason is that we don't know how share a country and more importantly is that we have no respect for each other. Me personally it would of been great to have a united country of all our lands, but our problem is that we can't stand each other. I believe that there was a time when we could of all been united under the somali flag, but that time has now passed.
Allah says love for your brother, what you love for yourself, so the best I can do is make du'ah that somalia becomes free from chaos. But as for being one country well I believe that we cannot share a country so why should you force your brother something he doesn't want.
If they do then I would say Good luck to them.
But the main problem is after 5 yrs HA will want to susceed from Somaliland
I wouldnt waste time with a langaab HJ.GENERAL_SNM wrote:Ogadenku wa the biggest hypocrites in the world. You the ONLF ogadeen self determination supporter has no grounds to point a finger at me for my effort to self determine..
Ps, As for Somaliland's policy makers, agreed HA occupy the capital city but all the stakeholders in somaliland hold as much power as HA, without their support somaliland would not exist..

You are obviously a person with a low IQ or you don't want to admit the truth to yourself. I think its the former. Somaliland actually, legally has a strong case. If you do your research you will come to know that. We all know that Somaliland was a separate entity known as British Somaliland, pre 1960, to Italian Somalia. We were an independent state for 5 days until we merged with Italian Somalia to form the Somali Republic. They key phrase here is that " we were an independent state". Lets say that Puntland wanted to seek recognition. They would have no chance as they were always part and parcel of Italian Somalia. Look at Eritrea, they seceded from Ethiopia because of colonial boundaries and oppression and a bloody war between the two. Eritrea was an Italian colony, unlike Ethiopia which was never colonised. So Somaliland has a case but the question is that the international community is waiting for Somalia to stabilise and deal with this issue.Oxidant wrote:Those these landers clown actually think they have a chance to become their own country, no chance in hell. There are many other autonomous state which have a better claim than somaliland but are ignored. That being said, I don't think Somaliland will be able to withstand Al-Shabab
