Cabdallah,
My dad also lived in Somalia past the civil war (91-92 in Kismayo, 93 in Xamar, 94-99 in Kismayo). But there was no business to be done, I mean, like, no service or retail business was open because people didn't have money to buy the products or service.
My dad and his company just deforested Lower Jubba and packaged charcoal, then sold it to foreign buyers at the port. That was literally the only business solution. No livestock export because of the restrictions and banning, no agriculture-related jobs because without a government, there wasn't proper care and irrigation, so that was deemed impossible.
You see, cabdallah, no matter what, unless the civilians have REAL jobs and REAL income, nothing is possible. We need a real government, that ALL Somalis, not one or two clans, can accept. Its the ONLY way.
