I have Said it before And I'd repeat it again, this is Allahs punishment for Hawiye for what they have done to Daroods some two decades ago. Darods Suffered more than that. I'd say let the nature take its course. I remember when I was Young this Abgaal man blew up and entire Family darood that resided a mile a way from Our house. 11 family members died in that tragedy. I cried seeing the kids that I used to play dead : Only One girl left from that family and the Moryaans took her after a while
Cabdallah,

My dad also lived in Somalia past the civil war (91-92 in Kismayo, 93 in Xamar, 94-99 in Kismayo). But there was no business to be done, I mean, like, no service or retail business was open because people didn't have money to buy the products or service.

My dad and his company just deforested Lower Jubba and packaged charcoal, then sold it to foreign buyers at the port. That was literally the only business solution. No livestock export because of the restrictions and banning, no agriculture-related jobs because without a government, there wasn't proper care and irrigation, so that was deemed impossible.

You see, cabdallah, no matter what, unless the civilians have REAL jobs and REAL income, nothing is possible. We need a real government, that ALL Somalis, not one or two clans, can accept. Its the ONLY way.
my pops lives between bosaso, gaalkacyo, djibouti, addis ababa, hargeisa and dubai, i currently live in his villa in dubai

he is into construction, transport, real estate, import, export you name it he has stake in it. most of his revenue comes from trading with xabashi though

Cabdallah, see what I mean. No matter, what, we're losing. On every end. We can't even choose who we trade with, we just go with what feeds us at the moment.

Decline at its worst.

Cabdallah,

If your family is wealth, then Alxamdurialh thats good. Lakin thats not a criterion to say that all of Somalia is doing well because your family is doing well. Theres irrigitable land that cannot be irrigated becaue of lack of Gov't. Back in the day when there was drought, planes would come and evacuate and even relocate whole clans. Now, we just wait for the fake UN agencies. Hospitals, roads, clinics, sewage, electricity, running water etc. are ALL absent due to a lack of Gov't. Somalias in the tubes.

Pride,

To be honest I don't even think Darood went through anything like this. Once Xamar was evacuated most Daroods just went to their lands and life went on. Lakin these guys are living under trees (paying rent for the shade), eating trash for food, and having their kids die of malnutrician a la Baidoa etc. The worst thing is unlike a lot of Daroods, going to Nairobi, Europe, Canada etc. is out of the question. Remember Daroods were being settled in the USA double the amount of Bantus that are resettled in the US today. These guys don't have the option becasue there "terrorists". Again I don't take delight in these women, kids etc. dying because there not the ones that did any crimes. As for the war goes no question it was ugly. One of the most ugliest things was my 1st cousin who said he will never leave Xamar because of his business interests. He also said because of his Habar Gidir wife and kids, he was safe. Guess what? His own brother in Law (brother of his wife) barged into his shop and gunned him down in broad daylight in front of his kids. :?

Lakin Ilahay's the avenger, and whoever did that Allah will deal with but we need a country in the worse way dude. The cuqdad and anger isn't going to help. Lets forgive each other, build a country and move on.

is killing hawiye sanctioned then? I mean, if you were in Somalia would you strap up and kill people just as those before oppressed you and killed your family?

do two wrongs (the opression of hawiye against you, and the oppression those same clans have now against the ethiopians/TFG forces) make a right?

is revenge Islamic?
Paid,

Its one thing to be explited by a world power. Say like Djbouti with France. But Somalias being exploited by starving to death Ethiopia, and going to one of the top 6 poorest countries in the world in search of food (Yemen).
We arent being Exploited by the French. only reason they are there was because Etho and Somalia both wanted to incoprate Djbouti into their little facked up world. 8)
