I think Istiqarah can sometimes work against you, because you think you know what you want, but Allah knows better and does not grant you what you seek.

As for perfection in women, there is no need for women to be perfect, we are all imperfect in our own ways, as long as there is mutual respect & compromise, both parties can lead a fruitful relationship.
