Here is the scenario:

You met someone who was somebody back in the days, who caused a lot of grief to your family. He arrested your father under false pretense, participated in his torture, was even promoted because of that as your dad was languishing in jail for a period of 11 years, none of your family members was allowed to visit while serving his time, you basically grew up with faded mental picture of your dad, and that was the time you really needed him the most, the time when you needed a role model and a father figure to brag about.

Now, you met that person, aged, frail, helpless. You spent countless nights contemplating on ways and means to punish that culprit, you even mastered -albeit mentally - brutal techniques of inflicting pain on this monster. Would you fulfill you fantasy or would you have a second thought?
If that is what he did to you dad, then you need to do something. If he is living in the west, then, I would go after his family or kids in Somalia. Hurt him where it hurts the most and you will become a man fo that!
Sir Lug,

He can relive his fantasy by reading the unabridged version of 'The Count of Monte Cristo'. Then markuu ciilbeelo he can forgive him.

....I would also recommend 'Les Miserables' so he can see the magnanimity of forgiving & moving on and how good fortunes favor those who are magnanimous.
The Count of moutn Cristo was the best non-Dickens novel i ever read!

the culture of vengeance have failed to do justice in this world and especially in Somalia where its so common. vengeance is primitive in nature, but having said that I understand the grief and anger on the children of the tortured subject. I for one don not subscribe to revenge. I will leave the greatest power of all to do justice on behalf of my parent. I am sure there is life after this...the individual will sure pay for his part not of course in this life but the one after.

Pure and Simple

only sisies ask such questions. I knew that United Islamic Court and their fans, like Sir Lugooyo and his ilks, are nothing but born wimps and damn weaks!. All they can do is draw a hand-granade to the Moms and kids and then run away.

Here is a man who took all of your's father-son time away from you. And any man with some balls left in him shouldn't be asking such cowardly question. You need to get some respect and confront that monster ASAP. You see it is all about respect!. The monster should show some respect and remorse of what he did!. It is pay back time!. It is also what we call accountibility and responsibilty. Each and every one should be accountable and responsible for his/her evil doings.

Someguy "Somalis is a society which has no sense accountibility nor responsibilities for their actions and that is why this society is in turmoil cycle that never ends"
