The who wrote that must've been an employee of the Kacaan! Somalia was a sh!thole from 1969-1991. Thats why the Kacaan was overthrown.

The 60's governments despite it's flaws was the only time in somali history where there was party politics and not clan politics, the so called kacan was the destruction of democracy and the begging of foreign dependence, as the dictatorship survived on foreign aid and any minuscule positives that came from that kacan was overwhelmed by the negatives it has brought to our country and is still does to this day.

You're right. The weak, corrupt civilian government was better.

Lets be honest here, what did the Kacaan achieve really? Aside from building pretty much everything, teaching Somalis how to read and write, making higher education free, fighting to liberate Kelinka 5naad, refusing to be exploited by foreign companies who offered 80-20 for our oil.

Seriously even Stevie Wonder can see that Somalia is better off today than it was under the dreaded Kacaan.
