Funny thing, I went to a tacsi not long ago and instead of the wadaado reading quran for the deceased,there they were reciting Dikri for her. I was like wtf, wadaadan maxaa ka qaldan?

Also, I work with this guy who is Muslim...Come to find out, he is Suufi and instead of reading quraan in the morning, he prefers the dikri. Anigaa ila hadaa ninka wa ka yaaba.

The Ahl al-Sunna in that youtube clib are simply remembering Allah and invoking a blessing on their prophet; this is what they do every chance they get.

dhikr has seven aspects:

dhikr of the eyes, which consists in weeping;

dhikr of the ears, which consists in listening;

dhikr of the tongue, which consists in praise;

dhikr of the hands, which consists in giving;

dhikr of the body, which consists in loyalty;

dhikr of the heart, which consists in fear and hope;

dhikr of the spirit, which consists of utter submission and acceptance.

The Prophet praised a man who was awwah -- literally: one who says ah, ah! -- that is: loud in his dhikr, even when others censured him. Ahmad narrated with a good chain in his Musnad (4:159) from `Uqba ibn `Amir: "The Prophet said of a man named Dhu al-bijadayn: innahu awwah, He is a man who says ah a lot. This is because he was a man abundant in his dhikr of Allah in Qur'an-recitation, and he would raise his voice high when supplicating."

The Prophet said, Peace be upon him: "My Community will split into seventy-three sects. All of them will be in the fire except one group." They asked: "Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?" If the saved group are those who came after Muhammad ibn `Abd al-Wahhab, then what is the status of all those who came before him, and that of the majority of those who came after him?

I suggest you search the The Origin of the Wahhabi Sect and seek the truth. Surely, you will see how Wahhabism is based mostly on the teachings of Muhammad ibn `Abdul Wahhab and how he came to break away from the teachings of traditional Sunni Islam.

Zulaika, the fact of the matter is Muslims today are ignorant of the diin and easy to distort; lets just say your a victim of the Wahabi sect, because in all truth look what they have believe...no human being is able to fly the only Muslim that came close to flying was our dear prophet (pbuh) and even he didn't fly on his own.

Wahaabis preach all sort of negative toward Muslims such as the Ahl al-Sunna. Shame that you had to come here with their horsesh!t.

Dervishes are a sect of Islam, no doubt about it, but we both know they can't be called Ahl al-Sunna Wal Jamaaca...We don't spin our brains out sxb, all we do is strictly dhikr were we remember Allah and invoke a blessing on our prophet (pbuh).

Sufism is an invention, its a combination of Shi'a, Hindu, Budhist traditions. Much of its rituals are anti-Sunnah and according to this hadith are rejected:

"Whoever innovates something in this matter of ours [i.e., Islam] that is not a part of it, will have it rejected." (Narrated by Al-Bukhaari, 2550; Muslim, 1718).

Ibn Abd al-Wahhab clung fiercely to denouncing people as unbelievers. To do this he used Qur'anic verses originally revealed about idolaters and extended their application to monotheists. It has been narrated by Abd Allah Ibn Umar and recorded by Imam Bukhari in his book of sound hadiths that the Khawarij transferred the Qur'anic verses meant to refer to unbelievers and made them refer to believers. He also relates another narration transmitted on the authority of Ibn Umar whereby the Prophet, on him be peace, said: "What I most fear in my community is a man who interprets verses of the Qur'an out of context." The latter hadith and the one preceding it apply to the case of Ibn Abd al-Wahhab and his followers.

I suggest you stop hitting the clubs and start reading the many scholars who showed what this man is all about.
