Some say that the flood was global, some say that the flood was only sent to the non-believers of the tribe of Noah and some say that the flood not only wiped out the non believers of the Noah's tribe but also the non-believers of the tribe of Qabil the son of prophet Adam, and Allah knows best.

It was certainly NOT global since we now know the origin of Biblical flood myth. uncontroversially the flood myth in Islam is exactly the same as in Christianity and Judaism. Christianity got its flood myth from Judaism. And Judaism from the Epic of Gilgamesh and much earlier Sumarian flood stories. Now, the Sumarian flood stories are much older than and hence Judaism cribbed its flood myths from Sumarians. the similarities between the Sumarian/Epic of Gilgamesh and Biblical versions are truly remarkable.
