There was a time I believed my mother had informants walking around the city, paid ones just to pass info, The craziest time, was when police arrested me and several of my friends, it was the other side of town, dark, no somalis around, Im talking about the oddest place ever, and than my mom and couple of my freinds mom just pulled up right behind the cops and manage to free us loool, it was so weird wallahi, how did they know, who told them? etc.

Growing up I despised Somalis like helwaa (no offense), but shaqo la'aan ba heysey, If you wish to talk to the kid to help him, do so, getting him in trouble would not benefit him or the parent. I did not know much Somali around that age and would skip school sometimes and go to downtown and what not, some random dude who was a cab driver would call my family and say "inankiina meel heblo ayu dad ajanabi la wareegayey." Or if they would see me going to the movies with a ladyfriend, it was just annoying. In general kids at that age would do stuff like that, stealing from the store and what not, I did it, heck a little more then a candy. But it was only for a thrill that we would do it. It did not have an affect on me, cause it was few random cases. Lakiin something about parents, THEY WILL NEVER LIKE IT WHEN SOMEONE INFORMS THEM OF THEIR CHILD'S MISHAPS, personally my mother would say "haa waan edbinaya, waad ku mahadsantahay ina adeer." She would yell at me for a bit, I would inform her he is lying (brilliant liar I was btw) and then she would say to me "dadkaan somaali iska ilaali, war uun bey la wareegayaan" or if someone would say I was in a bad place in my later teen years she would ask "oo maxaa ayaka geeyey bal." Basically take my side at the end. Helwaa I do not think that late was appreciative of you informing her of that.
