The ogaden turned against mahamamd siyaad after 1988 in big numbers , When the rise of the somali jabhado where coming they where indifferent. But when Siyad barre made pact with mengistu haille maryam in Djibouti in1988 to undermined the snm that where based in Dhirdahwe ,Siyad barre wanted the snm out of Ethiopia. By any means necessary. Mengistu told the snm to live his country , So he gave up on kilinka shanaad to save what’s left over of Somalia , that’s when the rise of axmed cumar jeess and spm started .
