You went with the Studio over Inspiron? It's more expensive, but it has a better resolution, graphics card and it's sleeker, if that's what you were going for. You get some extra features with it too (fingerprint reader and some other shit).

RAM and HD are all that were necessary for you, IMO, there's no need to shell out more for Blu-Ray players, etc.

That's perfectly fine, it's more than enough for your purposes and if you do ever need it for more technical things, it's very capable.

Studio can be used easily as a desktop replacement, the screen is great, but if that doesn't bother you, I'd recommend Inspiron still purely off price.

You can't go wrong with either.

Lenovo Thinkpads are the best PC notebooks. A little expensive compared to others but worth the money. I have a Toshiba Satellite that I bought in 2000 that still works fine. But I still say the Thinkpads are the best laptops.

Nomad thanks mate. Yeah i decided to pay the 100 quid or so extra for the studio, cos it looks sleaker and i hope the components are better quality i.e the keyboard because people seem to be complaining about that.

One last thing whats the difference between intel pentium core duo and intel core duo processor? Are they made by the same company? they are both duo processors right? Thanks
