I don't see how the two conflict? Unless we're being complete and absolut extremists.
There is a reason why the shahaada is on the flag. The people partying, are celebrating
Somalilands independence. What do they have to do with each other?

If you have a problem with this. Then the next time, you go to a Somali wedding, or any
other event....and they start it off with receiting Quraan ah (as they usually do)...
walk out and leave.
That is unless, you're a hypocrite. Which wouldn't surpise me if you were.

I just found it funny that people are making a big deal out of this 'Shahada' thing. I mean, presumably, the parties are not what many Muslims would consider Kosher (for lack of a better word), so why get stuck on mere words on a flag that half of the people in such parties aren’t paying attention to?
