According to the court records "The five plaintiffs do not claim that Samantar personally committed the atrocities or that he was directly involved". However, the plaintiffs said his only crime was he was a high ranking official. With that in mind, let us ask ourselves a simple question. Is everyone who was a high ranking Somali official a fair game? Should they all be sued?. Why nobody is suing General Ismail Ahmed Ismail who was in charge of all Somali prisons for 30 years? He is safe & sound in Canada. What about Riyale Kahin former NSS colonel & his interior minister Cabdullahi Cirro another former NSS colonel. What about Siilanyo who was a minister for over 20 years.
