Walle I neither have the time or need to go and search the net finding quotes to win arguments which are HISTORY. I how ever will go along with Volatges arguments that Sade invented the Somali script and were the first doctors and even ruled the country through tuugnimo for 21 years. It doesn't need to be and I concur none of those people were motivated by qabiil but intelligence and nationalism, however when the legacy is claimed in clan, then one can't help but set the record straight.

Makaahiil was Ogaadeen and an Arabic script proponent. Shire used the vowel structure that Makaahiil tried to make for using Arabic script but could not do so and adapted it to fit the Latin script.
