I have lived long enough for this point to be proven to me on number of occasions.

I went to high school with a isaaqist girl who wore sland shoe laces and wrist band to school daily, she would say she would marry an Issaq lad, she hated majeerteens but few years later, she married a majeerteen guy , I have cousins that also married from random qabiils even madhibaan because they fell in love.

I agree. I use to think why the older generation where so big on marrying within their qabil, but its all about recognition, so that if the marriage turns sour then they have a link with the family to resolve the situation.

The way I see it as time goes on qabil will become obsolete.

There's view good men left, I doubt we can afford to to discriminate along qabil lines, when a girl see's a good Somali Muslim man, I say run with it But having said that, I don't think would marry a man who I considered a qabiliste & was anti my own qabil no matter how much I was in love with him...

Exactly, most Somali parent now days will be happy the daughter brought home a decent guy, they're more scared of ajnabis and shid lol. But just like qabiil isnt as important as the generation before us, it will be non-existing in the near future. Let's be honest do you really think majority of the youth in the west specially girls give a dammm about the next man tol?
