loool actually both my grandfathers fought in the WWII and had to be in Ethiopia for a lot of years...both had most of their children in Ethiopia (especially the older ones)...both married their wives in Ethiopia!! So no I'm not eeewwww

But all my grandparents are immigrants from the North, they migrated to the South in the middle of the 20th century.

In the middle of the 20th century it was a very poor place, so I understand why they went to Kismaayo/Mogadishu. Now the tables are turned.

I always thought most somalis lived in Mogadishu/Hargeisa/Kismayo before the war - I was wrong
seems like villagers and rural people existed and actually outnumbered city slickers!
