The_Patriot . If you are actually aware of the history of Somaliland you will know that we politically lobbied for Haud/Reserve Area to be reunited with Somaliland upon Somaliland gaining independence.Our politicans and Suldaans lobbied for it but unfortunately it was unsuccessful due to some factors. Another mistake was when we rejoined Somalia out of Somalinimo, even though into a year into the reunion a group of Somaliland men led by Col.Xassan Kayd attempted to restore the sovereignty of Somaliland via a bloodless coup.


Here is a picture of Isaaq Suldaans and politicians in London(1955) lobbying for Haud to join Somaliland.

Sultan Abdillahi Deria, Ina Duube Yare, Michael Mariano, Abdirahman Sultan Deria.

So you wanted to get the land back through gandi diplomacy? any way I just wanted to know after this talks failed and the land was awarded to Ethiopians the Ethiopian military came in and exercised their authority and it was brutal in nature so how come there was no armed resistance? how come you neglected the Isaq of Haud? or was Somaliland just sufficient for the clan? mind you you guys waged a bloody war under SNM.

The folks of Haud were in a better condition compared to their kins in Somaliland in the 80's.Don't ask dumb questions.
The Isaaq areas of Haud wasn't a war zone apart from the WSLF trying to act up before they were put in their place.

Mate if you are upset about what is happening in that region waa cadi but there is no need to be mad at the rest of us.
