I dont see why galmudug should oppose this , the man pretty much insured that their people would re-settle into their homes and offered them equal protection and rights, under tha banner of PL, instead of being grateful koor baay ukaadiyeen, remember how the rest of the "hawiye family" treated sacad when they were displaced and started moving into hawiyaland. Now instead of showing some brotherly love for their neighbours, by endorsing this matter (the only power they have over the whole issue is supporting it or not), they decide to show their teeth. Whatever it aint gonna chaneg much, it will only show hutus never change.

He is not lying but he's twisting the the truth. He said there's no agreement between PL and Galmudug, but there was an agreement between SSDF and USC. Lakiin since both AY and Caydiid died, i think we should nullify the agreement and position ourselves pre the agreement in 1993

The best solution is that the faqash in northern Gaalkacyo get their own Airport in their own northern side.
This Airport is in hawiye part of Gaalkacyo which is koonfurta gaalkacyo.
Even though I agree with amiir sh.sharif on naming but I disagree with him on which part of Gaalkacyo.



The peace agreement between Mujaahid Caydiid raximullah and C/Y should be reviewed.
I hate it that the airport in southern hawiye gaalkacyo is in hands of bintiland.

LOL@Koonfurta Gaalkacyo. you guys make it seem as if they live in the entire southern part of GLK, whereas in reality they only live in southeastern part of GLK. And they share that with Sheikhaals, Madhibaan and Dir. Out of the 12 neighbourhoods, PL controls 11

The airport is located in the east not the south. Puntland will always control Abdullahi Yusuf Airport. And we should defintetly review the agreement.

This is of course an emotional topic for many of our Harti members however let us be truthful, this is not the brightest idea. If Puntland controlled the whole town then there wouldn't be any argument however 1 side is controlled by the Galgudud administration which is no fan of the character in question. This issue once again shows the poor level that Somalis have when it comes to politics, why not rename the Garowe Airport instead? This will surely turn the town's atmosphere into a tense one.

If this is true Galgudud has no right to complain.

Anybody can question whether it was the right thing do or not, but nobody can question the right of the government of Puntland, which owns the airport, to change the name in honor of the founder of the state AUN. Even the president of Somalia agreed it was the right choice.

Also, the reason they chose Galkacyo's airport is the same the reason they choice Galkacyo for the location of the funeral. It was his birth place and hometown.



And as you can clearly see, the airport is in the eastern part of the city closer to the north side.

For those of you who have never been to Gaalkacyo, the airport is located in EAST Gaalkacyo, not South.

Hawiye have no claim to the Abdulahi Yusuf Intl Airport ,its clearly based in a part of GLK which is administered by Puntland.As a matter
of fact the ONLY area of GLK which they can talk about is parts of Baraxley ,which is itself a tiny part of GLK shared by Dir ,Madhiban and other
non-hawiye tribes.

We could name the airport after a mole on Faroole's arse and it still would be none of hutu's concerns.


As for the other ignorant non hawiyes talking about what we should/shouldn't do. Go learn about the history of GLK and who owns and controls over
80% of the city.

Iam just saying that naming the airport after AY will anger many tribes in Gaalkacyo such as Sacad, Leelkase, Sheikhal and dir.
It will worsen the situation and maybe put the airport under a lot of pressure(attacks etc).

Leelkasse= Puntland
Dir (the same one that live in Baraxley) have been Puntlanders for over a year now.

there are more madhibaans in gaalkacyo than all the clans you mentioned ( except for leelkase). majority rules, minority rights. you will have no choice but to accept it. after all, it is only because of a/y that hawiye were allowed to settle in gaalkacyo. if it were up to the majority, you would be shipped back to your tent villages in galgaduud.
