Cumar Mohamoud is unbelievably massive how could you think they live only in Galkacyo. They live in Mudug, Nugaal, Sool and Ogadenia. They also represent probably the largest Majeerteen diaspora.

I think in and around Burtinle, they do use the term reer cigalle for that purpose, a stricly political purpose. It's not too uncommon for smaller branches to unite to counter the overwhelming dominance of a branch 10 times larger than all of them combined, which is the case in reer cigalle.
