let me give you an example why qabiil = backwards =retardation

in 18 May party, at one of the countries in the gulf, they had a party and they said each tribe should present some part....imagine! it was the worst party ever...

another example

in haregisa university, they had an emergency meeting to decide which qabiil should take the university cafeteria.....can you imagine that?


we are poor nation, we dont have enough talents, we dont have talents distributed evenly between tribes! We should pick only the best regardless who he is...otherwise everything will be worse than it could've been.

Qurmiye i thought it would be the intellectual party that will transform somaliland but as you heard from Dr.Abdulqadir, it is full of tribal stuff and this make somaliland divided and weak....

it is the same story again like in 1991, whenever jabhad takes over, we have more inner conflicts..

i just want to know if somaliland is ok with qabiil, why we are having all this parties nonsense? ma cadeesanu?

^^^You protest too much dear sir. Qabiil is part of our cultural fabric. It's part of our identity, and has been that way for many generations, thus not realistic to expect it to phase out in matter of years.

Qabiil is not the problem, qabyaalad is. We need to differentiate those two.

I agree with this. This mentality is backward. If we're claiming to be a democracy, than let everyone vote individually. Stop this rer jebel joined our party nonsense.

It's also true that kulmiye introduced this when they were campaigning. They'd make a new announcement every week claiming clan x joined them. Serious dhaqan xumo
