Maybe the mods should consider doing some house cleaning. People exposing other peoples sins like this can't be a good thing. After awhile people become more comfortable with this sort of behavior.

It's interesting how people get all worked up and butthurt (no pun intended) about other people's homosexuality when it doesn't affect them in any way. Since people are pulling out the religion card, how many of them get this worked up when they see people indulging in riba I wonder? It does affect Society.I don't want future generation to see being a shit stabber is an acceptable lifestyle. We shouldn't be here and say that we condone gays! its against our natur!. They want to be part of Human society. I refuse to see the shit pokers as normal.

The problem or rather the dillema is when a gay man is your teacher, your menotor your boss etc and that they can be very kind towards you when you may be having the most difficult time. How would you view these people? would you see them as other human being and respect and love them for who they are?

Do not get me wrong as I am aware that homosexuality is a faaxisho, a desease to the societiy.
And that many of them are not nice to the Muslim people ( as they regard us a treat and enemy) so they ( from my experience) are hostile before we even recognize them as such. I particularly have difficulties with lesbos. Either they would try with me or declare some kind of love for me despite with my hijaab or outrightly hostile. I fear the attitude of a lesbo woman than a gay man.

It also happens that you have work-collegues that you had no idea that they were gay so you were close to them because you need somebody on your side sometimes, then you discovered that the person is gay. What would you do? does being nice to the person equel to approving of their homosexuality?

Other thing comes to mind is that Muslim society whether Somalis or not have homos. Just we do not know them but sometimes we recognize them throught their mannerism, so if I help someone despite knowing that this person is homo, does that count as approving them? because I helped more than few men whom I can see were not hiding their sexuality, but they came to me for help becuase of my work. I actually went beyond my capacity for a couple of them to help them? they were young ( 19 and 20) and felt for them. Each one of them, came back to me and said 'thank you sister'.

It is such a dillema( to me, anyway). In general I feel sorry for gay men but dislike lesbo.

Thanks for the advice, but maybe you should work on your reading comprehension so you'd realize I wasn't condoning anything, but rather pointing out a double standard. It's really amusing to see people almost get personally offended whenever homosexuality is mentioned...on religious grounds no less (supposedly anyway).

I didn't state anywhere that it was okay (or even that it's not okay). My point was that there is a clear double standard. Yes Allah forbade it (technically He forbade sodomy), but he also has forbidden a multitude of other sins, some of them more grave than being gay.

And yet, people don't react to other people committing these sins with such venom and indignation. How many people do you know who engage in riba (to use this example again)? I'm sure you know a few. Compare how you react to your knowledge of this sin, to say, if you found out somebody you knew was gay. Therein lies my point.
